- I definitelty made great strides in improving from practices from last year acknowleding that I still have many things to improve on. An area of strength that I have is incorporating technology into my lessons to allow for student engagement and smoother pacing of the lesson. An area that I can continue to improve on is being consistent with my expectations as well as consequences. I need to make sure that I am holding every student accountable for their behavior. I have surprised myself in continuing to improve on my instruction through different conferences and trainings that I have attended.
Describe a professional goal you have for yourself beyond induction. Why have you identified this as a need or interest? What actions will you take? How will you assess goal attainment?
-A goal that I have beyond induction is to continue to hold my students accountable and be consistent with my consequences. I have identified this as a need because I did alot better than last year, but this is still something that I can improve on. I will continue documenting student behavior in a behavior book, but attempt to go one step further and utilize behavior constracts with my trouble students. I will assess goal attainment by being consistent with the expectations on a day to day basis and attempt to utilize at least one behavior contract the following semester to see if there are any positive changes in behavior.
What actions can you take to remain a connected educator throughout your career?
- I can continue to attend trainings and profession development conferences as well as collaborating with peers.

- One thing that I can do is embrace the little joys in teaching. I need to place more focus on the positive interacts that I have with my students instead of focusing on the negative ones that I have with very few students.

What advice do you have for new teachers entering the profession?
- One big piece of advice that I would give is to teach the norms, procedures, and expectations in your classroom right from the start. If students do not have a good handle on these then a teacher will spend more time addressing problem behaviors then actually being able to teach the content.
